Illness and Sickness

There may be times when your child may be unwell. We ask that parents DO NOT send their child to the setting until they are well again as staff are unable to look after children who are unwell and we will contact you to come and collect them. Also should a member of staff become unwell we may have to close the setting if staff cover cannot be found. If you child is ill please can you inform the setting. If a child becomes unwell during the session, staff look after them and contact you to come and collect them.

​​The table below gives an indication of some of the absence periods that MUST to be followed for the more common illnesses. Please be aware that we may have additional precautions in place within our policy document, due to the nature of our setting, so please consult with the Playgroup Manager if you have any questions.
