Meet Your Children's Keyworker

What is a keyworker?

When a child starts at playgroup they are allocated a keyworker. This member of staff will be the main point of contact for parents and more importantly for the child.  Your child's keyworker will work with your child to help them reach their early learning milestones and provide them with support in their development. Your child's keyworker will do observations and track their development to help assess how your child is developing.

Throughout the year your children's keyworker will complete a 2 year check (if your child is 2 years old when they join) and continue to do termly (Autumn, Spring and Summer) assessments throughout their time in the setting or a school transition record when it is time for them to move on to school. All assessments are shared with parents or carers.

If you have any concerns of wish to share anything with your child's key carer please ask to speak to them at drop off and collection times, or a meeting can be scheduled with a time to suit.

Who is my child's keyworker?

For safeguarding purposes, we do not post keyworker lists on the website. The keyworker list can be found on the noticeboard or you can speak to a member of staff at the setting if you are unsure of who your child's key carer is. â€‹
